White Birch Brewing–Barrel Aged Night Falls & Hop Session Ale

Thanks to our good pals at Bella Vista distributors in Philly, we’ve been able to get White Birch Brewing beers in our local market…so it was exciting to see label approval today for their Barrel-Aged Night Falls American Wild Ale.  This is a low volume bottle-conditioned wild-yeast Ale that is 9% ABV and is packaged in 25.4oz bottles.  If you believe the sample packaging this is a VERY low batch (154 bottles?).  “Night Falls and all is black.  Dark malts, hints of oak and a wild undercurrent.  A soft wild side and smooth finish.  Invite the night.”  As a bonus, here’s the new Hop Session Ale 22oz packaging, also approved today.  This is a 7% ABV low batch (200 bottles?) hoppy sessionable ale.  “Starting with a blend of west coast hops for a balanced, bitter effect.  We close the session out by dry-hopping the beer for a nice resiny mouth feel.  Best when fresh, this beer is not for aging.”
