Mybeerbuzz.com Highlights Samuel Adams OctoberFest 2016

imageIt wouldn’t be early fall without my yearly sampling of Samuel Adams OctoberFest….so I’m excited to give you an early peek at the 2016 version.

This yearly fall classic is available from Aug to Oct and for 2016 it will be released in 12oz bottles (6-packs & 12-packs), 12oz cans (12-packs) and even 16oz single-serve cans.  Of course it will hit the streets on draft and if that’s not fun enough, look for Samuel Adams OctoberFest to also be part of the 2016 Fall Variety 12-Pack as well as a 24-pack case.

OctoberFest is a classic Marzen-style beer that uses 2-row pale malt, Munich-10, Caramel 60 and Samuel Adams OctoberFest malt.  The beer hits 5.3%-AbV and 16 IBU and of course it uses Tettnang Tettnanger & Hallertau Mittelfrueh noble hops.

The beer pours a deep ruby color with loads of malty aromas.  The flavors follow with caramel and sweet crisp malty flavors.  The sweetness is balanced nicely by the noble (and slightly spicy) hops and the finish is roasty with a delicate slightly sweet finish.  Perfect for cooler fall nights and robust enough to stand up to any Okto celebration.

imageSamuel Adams was also nice enough to send along their 2016 OctoberFest Raise The Stein glass mug.  This bad boy is big, sturdy and robust (just like the beer) and of course we had to pour our bottle and can into the mug to enjoy the full Samuel Adams OctoberFest experience….and yes it tastes even better in the mug.

Be sure to sample Samuel Adams OctoberFest 2016 in both bottles and 12oz Sam Cans….

taste both

for yourself….and as always…when you do….be sure to let us know what YOU think.
